Shelby looks like a good partner. What's Samantha...a chia-pet?

Chia - Pet ....you wouldnt dare say it to her face ....I keep saying that if she was about 70 lbs heavier, she'd be the best watch dog.....Pugs can be very tenatious.... Shelby's a mix, but a great dog.....I saved her from a shelter....this dog is now 8 years old and the owner wanted to put her down because he felt she was too old.....the vet refused to put her down, got P'od over the situation, charged them a fortune for the visit, then took the dog away from them.....

great to adapt a pet, not many or enough people do it, she looks like a sweet loving dog I'm sure the pug is tenacious, and she's not a chia pet, it's a chia sweater right? a friend of mine had a pug, would ride on his lap all over the place in the car, they tend to become very attatched to their owners and vice versa, do you find this to be true?

Its true, she's attached at my hip when the wifes out, then she's attached to her hip , and thats most of the time....the funny part is that the big one has grown the same attachment, so my wife walks around a bit on a tilt In reality , my wife is like the Pied Piper with the two of them following her around the house....All my dogs have been rescues...In the past couple of years, I had to put down my Rhodesian Ridgeback, due to cancer, and my 145 lb mix....part Chow, Collie and Shephard also due to cancer and renal failure...The Ridgeback, I raised since she was 4 days old becuase the bitch died in child birth, and only two pups survived.....thats another story...where this cat I had was pregnant and gave birth before I got the Ridgeback...the cat actually assisted in helping to feed the dog....she brought her into her litter of 7 and promply gave her a nipple....meanwhile, we went to the local Wally World and bought some baby doll nursing bottles along with some baby formula, and nursed her 24/7 until she was weened.....I miss them both......

Here's a pic of me and my buddy duke. My wife constantly reminds the kids that he was part of our family before they were. He is getting old now but still finds time to play with the kids whenever they are ready. Though now it takes an aspirin for him after the play is through but he never lets the kids down.

It hurts when they get into that stage.....I had to do that with my Ridgeback when she got arthritis in her hind quarter...but what can you do, but just let them live their lives , and dont handicap them, because they'll now themselves when its time to lay down...
