I killed this buck on the morning of November 20, '05. I shot him with a 243. He is a 10 point (would have been an 11 but one of the tines had broken off) and weighed 148 field dressed. The morning hunt was almost over and I had let a 6 point walk earlier. I heard a noise and stood up thinking that it was my FIL coming to get me from my spot. I looked up and saw him casually walking by. As he was walking away, I raised the rifle and took one well placed shot. It had went through the heart and dropped him on the spot. My husband was very proud of me when he showed up to help drag him out. We should get the mount back in June.
