Here are "some" of our mounts in our basement...(all these photos are taken at the house we moved from, all but my elk, and my 6 point are mine...everything else belongs to my dad and mom, my mom killed the big "20 pointer" above the television...) Here's some of dad's deer... BTW: the deer in the middle chased my brother!! My brother was my age when this deer charged him! My father was lucky enough to stop the buck from getting to my brother who was backed up to a barbed wire fence with the shotgun!! My father shot the buck in the shoulder with the shotgun and the buck fell to my brother's feet!! The deer to the far left, is a huge 4 point my father killed with his bow last year! Here's another photo of it below.... My dad's black and cinnamon bears he got in Alberta, Canada, the cinnamon bear has a beautiful blonde streak down her spine! He got them both with his bow and arrow! <---black bear <---- Cinnamon Bear w/ blonde streak (not visable...the blond streak...) course you seen my father's elk, so i ain't wasting space for that photo... <--the deer above the TV (middle) my mom got right before i was born, as a matter of fact she was pregnant with me when she got this buck with the shotgun! We counted the horns, legally it is a non typical 12 pointer, but because it has little tiny spikes coming off, she calls it her "20 point buck" it is the biggest buck any of us ever killed...and believe it or not, she got it in Virginia!! The deer to the far right in that photo ^ my dad killed with his shotgun back when he was 17 years old, this buck was his first big buck ever killed....he killed it in Arkansas... Single view of my mom's big buck. Taken back when the basement at our old house was being built. You can see the drywall patches, etc. My father done that work by himself, because he owned his own drywall company for 15+ years, he still owns it, and me, my brother and on occasion, my sister all work for it... Here in Virginia, his company is called "John M. Jones Drywall Inc. ©" It is a local company doing local and residential work...so sorry, we won't be handling any drywall work out of state! Enjoy!

That's quite a herd of deer you guys have there! The 4 pointer is awesome, don't see many like that, and the one on the right, in the first pic, has a super long throat patch...very unusual.
;D Thanks for sharing

thanks all! That's why my dad got the 4 pointer mounted, because you hardly ever see one as big as that! And get this, when we brought him to our taxidermist, the taxidermist aged him, and he turned out to be 5 1/2 years old or more!! My father came from 26 years of hunting, he is now 43, and he's been hunting since he was 17..Me, i've been hunting ever since i was 13 and now i am 16, and have killed a 6 point, a 5X5 bull elk, and 3 does. So i am averaging 1 deer per year...not bad...not bad... lol, hoosierhuntingful! It almost looks like that in the picture don't it? But no...it's the sun lol!! I know we all try to be comedians.....sometimes i doesn't work out...

That's a mess of big deer, no wonder the large basement! I've never seen a four like that, not even on tv. way too cool.

Nice deer12ga. See you have it in your blood. Keep it up and keep the forum in touch. GOD bless to ya Thanks Rackman! I knew it was in my blood I've just got a lot of catching up to do lol!!! Both my dad's and my goal are to beat my mom's huge buck!!! I am sure eventually i will be able to beat that buck! It's an old deer though! Way older than me...think about it.. If he was killed 15 years ago, you also have to count the years he was alive...he was probaby a 3 maybe 4 year old deer or better so he is at least 18 years old.... The oldest deer in our basement is the 8 point my father killed in Arkansas, in the 5th picture near the elk, to the right of my mom's buck.. I am sure eventually i will be able to have me a few wall hangers... my 6 point ain't nothing to get all worked up about, but for a first deer, killed by a 13 year old archer, i tell ya, i am more proud of getting that buck than ever! The one i am most siked up about is my elk!! The first time i ever killed anything that big!! God bless to you too, and to EVERYONE!

Thanks country2dbone! yeah i was amazed my brother managed to survive that ordeal! My brother is a fighter, but i can gurantee you he won't have that fighting chance against a buck like that!! I wasn't there at the time, but my mom, brother and father all told me the story. My dad had wounded the buck first, they trailed it for miles! Then they finally stopped at some thickets where they spotted the buck bedded down at, so my father asked my brother to fetch his 10 gauge double barreled!! Well my brother did, and as my father stalked the buck, my brother stood back, watching the foot prints the buck left in the dirt. Well the buck heard my father stalking it, so it got up and ran. It circled back through the thick stuff where my father couldn't see it, and then that's when it charged my brother. Chris (my brother) said he ran for his life, away from the buck. The buck was right on his heels until he was stopped by a barbed-wire fence. He squatted down and waited for the worst, until my father managed to pull off a shot to the buck's shoulder and the buck flipped, landing at my brother's feet. My brother said he puked his guts out after that, the fear and almost experiencing death scared the crud out of him!! I would be too if that buck charged me! Look at those horns! They look like large daggers!! My brother WAS lucky that day, and i hope i never get in that situation, expecially alone!!! God bless
