I shot him at 137 yards with that .50 cal using 4 30 grain 777 powder and a 260 grain Traditions Sabot.
Actually i helped guide a hunter to a buck that scored 94" last year--he is now #3 in the B&C.
I have a picture of him somewhere--if ya want me to i will post it for ya.
I am a guide here in AZ and in New Mexico--i drew an archery tag for New Mexico this year and will be up there sticking one in August--I'll be back up there in Sept. with one of my clients and then back again in Oct. with another hunter. Depending who draws a tag i should have one hunter here in AZ too. I shot a small buck with my bow here three years ago that would score 70"--not bad for my first with a bow--at least i was real happy with him!

You got a nice pair there too scott, Congrads What was a shoot'in with ? The buck and doe in that pic were taken with a 300 win mag at 366 and 220 yrds. I took a third doe the next day with a Savage 10ML-2 muzzleloader at 188yrds. Douglas Wyoming.

Thats the kind of shootin i'm talking about.I target practice all the time out to 500 yds. Can't wait to get out in the prairies and put the practice to work. Does that 300 mess them up at all.Or just punch through?

Just try to avoid shooting one in the shoulders. They dont have a lot of meat on them anyway. On both of my 300 kills the bullet expanded and went right through. They dont have tough hides. Also, if you kill a good buck, dont drag it like you would a deer. The hair falls out very easily.
