was great weather last week. 30's at night and 60's in day. Back to 80's day and high 60's at night. Duck season starts Sat. Gonna miss it. I'm going to the vikings/chiefs game in KC. with my love. I'll be wearin purple and she'll be wearing red. Might be interesting in the stands. Of course we'll be stopping at Bass Pro while there, DUH!

Great game in KC Sun. Wish my Vikings would have won. Poor ball placemnet by the refs whole game for both teams. This week is to be nice and cool at night. Beans coming out some places. Corn coming out all over . Such a strange fall!

Went out today after work. Two hours into it another guy who had asked me at work this morning if I was going out after work drove up sixty yds from my stand. He and his son walked across the creek and trimmed brush for shooting lanes at one of their stands. Thirty minutes later they got in their truck and drove up to my stand and got out and talked for five minutes. Then they said they had probably ruined my hunt (DUH!) and drove around to the next field entrance and drove up to the woods at that end. This way they said they wouldn't mess up my hunt any more. I stuck it out for the last hour but didn't see or hear anything. What a crock.

changed jobs at work. it'll cut out some of my after work hunts but will double the number of morning and all day hunts I can get in. many during the week when the rest of this area are at work. Monday went out after work. Saw the same three deer. They come charging out of the woods into the picked bean field. then they walk along the edge to the west end. As soon as they got to the end of the field they turned around and start back to the woods they came from. My guess is they are run out by a buck, but I have not seen what runs them out yet.

Thur. had a 160 class stood 25 yds from my stand. Couldn't get a shot for the tree limbs. He walked straight out with the branches between him and me.

got out Sunday- all hens. not a single gobble. Was still fun having the hens come in within five feet of the dekes. Had four does and later five bucks come within 30 yds. Largest buck was about 180lbs and had antlers about four inches long with brow tines just starting to fork out. Bases were about five inches in circumference. gonna be a great buck.
