I have been thinking of getting a new pistol to carry and shoot. Just not sure of which caliber to go with. I have had 9mm and 40 in the past with Glocks, S&W and Colt. But now have gotten the itch for maybe a Ruger SR9 9mm or the new Taurus 24/7 OSS in a 45ACP or possibly a 40S&W round. Just can't quite make up my mind which way to go. I like the compact size of the Ruger SR9 but really like the single/double action of the Taurus. If I go with a 45 I then can also use the gun for a deer/hog gun. What do you think.... 9mm, 40S&W or go with the 45ACP ?

For a good combo gun, I'd go with one of the .45 ACP's. KT

I own a Sig Sauer P226 and can honestly say it is a nice gun and a nice shooter.
