I know someone here can help me and I am looking for some help on something.
I have a 9mm that uses short shells. I was cleaning the gun and while doing so decided to put new ammo in it. I wasn't sure how long this ammo had been in the gun. I've heard it is good to do this. Anyway, upon doing so, this is how i realized that it used the short 9mm ammo. Cuz the 9mm wouldn't fit. LOL, too long. So I looked at the bullets in the clip, they are 380 shells. I know that a .38 and .357 are compatible, but is this one??? I would appreciate any help I can get on this matter. I would hate to have the gun blow up in my face and hand. Thanks so much.

If by compatible you mean can they both be shot in the same gun then the anwser is "no"
Semi auto pistols use rimmless cases and head space off the brass mouth (front of the brass case).
Rimmed cartridges head space of the rim so shorter cartridges can be shot in a longer chamber of the 357 mag, but not vise versa
So just shoot 380's in your 380 and 9 mm in a 9mm

Susan , are you sure you have a 9mm, or maybe someone has put the wrong clip in the gun, I have never saw a 9mm gun and clip that you could'nt put 9mm rounds in?, check things out real close before you shoot this gun, something don't sound right to me.
