t/c contender missfire?????need help

..anything i can look for??something is wrong.did not even
dent the primor,,next time fired deep dead center,dent in the shell primer,,what could it be???

i'm asuming it's an old style contender
if so, they have D*MM saftey feature where you have to re-cock the gun after the hammer is pulled back(and don't fire it) and it in turn makes it so it will also not fire when the frame is ever so slighty open

i'm perdy sure thats what happened.
just be sure to snap that frame closed, and the problem will go away. it's just the way the gun is built

my encore does not have the re-cock feature and is not so tempermental on the frame closing, and has even popped open after firing a time or two (don't care for that much) and the new contender frames are more on the lines of this
