Don't confuse a Turret Press with a Progressive Press. I have a Turret press (as well as a single stage). The Turret Press is an RCBS and gives me excellent reloads. All my hunting rifles shoot under 1" groups and most of them shoot 1/2" or better groups. The Progressive Presses are used for high speed reloading and those that use them, tend to take short cuts and skip some of the case preparation steps and not weigh each powder load. On my Turret press I don't skip any steps on case preparation and every powder charge load is weighed. This will give you results you can't tell from single stage presses.

Welcome Stress Relief,Good to have ya aboard.
I have to agree with you.I have shot other guys reloads and have them jumping all over paper.Mostly due to poor case prep and unwieghed charges.Guess thats why i have a comfortable chair at the bench. It's always nice when ya hand out some rounds to a friend and he wants to know what you did differently

Hello WinMag,
I was looking at your velocities in the initial posting, and they seem quite reasonable to me. I reload for a lot of different calibers and am not much for pushing the envelop. I usually find the velocity at which my accuracy is best and pretty much stick with it. I agree with you about the Rockchucker. It's a good, sound investment. I've become quite fond of mine over the years. Best wishes.

Just as a note, after reading about the RCBS presses. RCBS company started out by swaging bullets. There logo is part of there name. RCBS, stands for Rock Chuck Bullet Swag! Just some info for your avid reloaders. Have fun. vangunsmith

What did it do to the bowling balls? Did you get lots of glancing shots on it? Have you ever loaded 90gr in a .270?

been reloading for 3 or 4 years
loading for 22/250 220 2506 270wsm and 3006 ive got a 270win but havent yet started loading for it.
right now im mainly playing with the 220 2506 and 3006.
im finding h4350 powder to work across the board from the 2506-3006. and rl19 to push my light weight 2506 bullets.
thats about it for now.
