Help I have been given a large amount of powder I need to know if anyone has any experience with it I am going to give a list to start with more to follow winchester 452 AA 540 AA 296 452 AA others 2400 700x 4198 S R 4750 please help I need to know what to use all of the stuff for Scott ;D

4198 is for big bore, like the .444 marlin. Not sure on the rest tho..Look in any reloading manual, or do a search for a reloading website to find a powder list. It will give the burn rates, and usually a list of typical cartidges that each powder is usually reccomended for.

I have used some of the winchester powders loading shotshell and the others in rifle cartridges.
A reloading manual will list which powders will work with different loads and bullet weights. Your powders will burn at differnt rates.So it is important you know what powders and amounts you are using with your loads.

I used the 700x a long time ago. I would have to look in my book to see if it was used for shotgun slug, rifle or .44 mag. pistol. I've never used any winchester powders yet.
