I didn't find a high standard for sentinel. My blue book from last year says Sentinel used to be the importer for Arsenal Bulgaria. This is what it says about arsenal bulgaria: Current manufacturer located in Bulgaria. Currently imported by Arsenal, Inc., located in Las Vegas, NV. Previously imported exclusively 1994-96 by Sentinel Arms located in Detroit, MI. For currently imported models, please refer to the Arsenal, Inc. listing. The artillery arsenal in Rousse began in 1878, and was managed by Russian officers until 1884, when a Bulgarian was appointed the director. In 1891, the factory was transferred to Sofia, and was renamed the Sofia Artillery Arsenal until the entire facility was moved to Kazanlak in 1924. At that point, the name was changed to the State Military Factory. After WWII, the arsenal diversified into civilian production, and its nickname was "Factory 10." In 1958, the first AK-47 under Russian license came off the assembly line, and in 1982, the one millionth AK-47 had been manufactured The only pistol it lists for them is a Makarov in 9mm, 8 shot mag, 3 2/3 in barrel, blue synthetic grips and blue finish, disc. in 1996. 100% $185, 98% $165, 95% $125, 90% $115 and drops $10 for every 10% drop after that.

I was under the impression that High Standard was it's own name and American Made. I didn't ever hear of anyone copying there models. I am pretty sure that the pistol is just a High Standard and not of the trade mark Sentenal from Bulgaria. But being an expert with the import trade names is a little like throwing the dice. 20 % is going to be yours and 80 isn't lol .

I forgot to mention there are many variations with slightly different prices- I listed the plain Sentinel. There are many variations though. I'm guessing though that yours is just the Sentinel.
