I just visited Ron Name of Smokeless Powder Muzzleloading, Inc in Hartford City, Indiana. He's a great guy with a really cool shop. I took two (2) H & R shotgun receivers to him for fitting of his .50 cal. Douglas barrels. I’ll be updating this tread with pictures of him, his shop and information on the performance of these two guns. I also have a picture and some basic information on a super heavy smokeless powder bench gun that will be set up for a 1000 yard shoot. Stay tuned for more developments as they become available. www.smokelessmuzzleloading.com/

I met with Ron on Mon. He has my NEF action and will be building me a .45 cal. barrel. I told him not to get into any hurry on it, but I am extreamly anxious to see what the .45 will do compared to my Savages.

I went to the range on Saturday and was able to get 1 1/2 groups using 2015 with the Barnes .458 300 grain SP. It was moving right at 2200 fps on average. I will try some N-120 on my next trip and hope to tighten this up a bit. I also ordered a few custom bullets from Mark Lynch and will be interested to see how they shoot.

Never heard of one of these before. Might have to go to one.
