For you archery buffs, Ky has an archery only WMA in Western Ky called Higginson-Henry. It is 2000 acres located just east of Morganfield Ky. It hunt's under a 15 inch spread rule on bucks, so there is some nice bucks there. Best time too hunt would be during the week around late October to mid- November. There is a 2 day quota gun hunt there in early December. Be happy to answer any questions u may have about the place

It's about 2000 acres of hardwood ridges and farmland consisting of corn & soybeans. Gets hunted hard on weekends!

OK. Thought i would ask,i checked into some hog hunts in Ky. Are you looking for hunting partners this Fall ?? I know what you mean by crowded on the weekends.I have a State Park open to Bow hunting it's just over 2,200 acres.During the rut you can't find a parking spot in anyone of the 6 parking lots. But if you go early openers. You just about have the whole place to yourself.I actually have 3 state grounds within 20 minutes drive. But i hunt private 90 % of the time

But i thought i'd throw the tip out there and would be as helpfull as possible to anyone who wants to come there and hunt.
