i was deer hunting on eastern shore,and i saw a bird fly over a field it was bigger than a sparrow but smaller than a starling and it had a long beek like a woodcock but im not sure what it was,it was flying at dusk over woods and a field that had nothing planted in it?any one have any ideas?

There's various shore birds & there's normally a relatively early season for them. Just check your state's DNR web site for migratory bird regulations
