Here's another topic that could be "debated" over a cold beer and a hot fire. Which do you prefer....Over/Under or Side by Side?
Personally, I prefer the O/U. I just get a faster sight picture with it than a s/s.

kahuna, For the EXACT same reason as you I prefer the side by side. I put the game just above the barrels maybe half covering for far shots and center up! brent

OU for me based on having shot both OU's & SS's over the years but I don't own any of either at the moment... Last O/U I had was a Charles Daily & the last SS was an old model 24 Winchester in 16 ga that I traded off.. I much prefer pumps & semi-autos these days. My Dad had a beautiful little Browning Diana 20 ga O/U that he sold off for $6g as a part of his retirement plans... I don't plan on having to sell any guns when I retire...

I pick the OU too,I think the SS double looks like a mean ass gun though

To add to this,
The OU has more of a classy look to them, where the ss looks like a rug-id shooting weapon.Just my perception of the two

I have shot a over and under but I prefer my winchester 1300 pump,, I can out 3 shels through it pretty quick,, I even raced a guy once and beat him.. Tim but they say that two shot is more sporting.. I hunt for fun but I like to get my limits too. Tim

Based on the price factor for a "good" O/U and a "good" SxS, the O/U is a much better deal monetarily. But Kimber sure has a beauty of a SxS now. WOW! -Sloopy
