They are pretty neat looking, but in my opinion way to heavy for the back of an arrow, we weighed one out at 30 grains, compare that to about 10-12 on a regular nock. Heck if your gonna get one of those, you ought to get the new "Bow Bug". Small micro chip that goes on the broadhead and stays in the animal when shot, Yep thats right, then ya use the small locator device and track em down. Only about $99. Remember the old string and reel they used to use and just follow the string? My opinion, is to save your hard earned $ and not waste em on these gimmicks they keep coming up with. I bought a set as well. Tried them on target and had ALL KINDS of issues with them. I sorta panicked as bow season was just a couple of days away. I took them off and haven't used them since. I hate to waste money so I'll hang on to them and after this season, I'll play around with them and see if I can get them "Tuned" to my set up. MoBowman is right, the weight is greater and in my case, that was the culprit. What's the ole saying.....If it ain't broke don't fix it?

I have a buddy , he shoots them, He shoots pretty fast bow Hoyt Razor Tech , he likes them, I personally think it add more cost to an arrow, I can't get over what they cost, 9.49 each here in Lyndels Archery Shop. I think I'll stay with my Bright color Vanes I shoot a 415gr. arrow, I dont need to add anymore to them .

You can build your own aluminocks out of the lighted replacement fishing bobbers. I know a guy that has built some, and they are cheaper and probably don't weight as much, but another 18 grains on the back of your arrow probably won't affect it that much. May take off 3 feet per second, at the most.

I have used Burt Coyote's LUMINOCK's and they work great for capturing the shot and arrow trajectory on video. And yes they are heavier than you regular nocks. They do not help you recover you game in any way!!! I have used them with great sucess and never had a problem with function at all. But have had some fit problems. As far as customer service ITS GREAT!!!! I had one fail to light and work and they sent me another out same day shipping in time for a hunt I was going on.

I agree with most. Too much weight in the back. Plus I'm cheap.

I don't shoot when it's dark so I don't need them.

Spysar, you need to come down to good ole Texas and go hog hunting on a full moon night, there is a place and time for lighted pins and lighted nocks. Shooting in the dark has little to do with it at all really. Most people who use lighted nocks simply like to see there own arrow trajectory, its rather neat ....and like I said before it makes for great video.
