If you do would you be interested in a better one, one that does not torque the string. If anyone is interested I will post it. Its called a catfish not named after the man that invented it and that is his nickname. They are sweet and pretty easy, no press needed. If some of you are I will take photos and explain it to you and post it. Just let me know. Here is a pic of the finished product. Keith

Note that loop spins freely around the string, you have to tie a stop above it and below, I shoot tiny pin nocks so I tied the dental floss above the bottom to stop any nock pinch, this one has about 500 shots on it and no sign of wear, using the regular way I would be replacing it soon, not with this one. This is made of .22 center serving, and the other cool thing is if you wear through this one, you just reserve it like you would with your center serving, so you dont change the length or anything, It really is a very cool little trick. Also mine is short but you can make it any length. Simple.

Well Tim or anyone that happens to come around this area (Tampa) I will tie one on for you in about ten minutes.
I guess no one is interested, I thought this little thing was the best thing since sliced bread.

I'm interested, I just found the thread. This is just the kind of loop I need for perfect bow tuning. It moves on the string, right? and then you use thread to hold it when it's set. You gotta show me how to make these.

Hey Spy, I got an early morning turkey hunt which I will be solo on (runing the camera and all) so once I return I plan to tie one and show step by step on how it is done. It is pretty simple and yes the thing is the bomb, sharpest looking knot out there, it spins freely and just the knot above is the part that you use to adjust (it keeps it in place), you then tie another small knot on the inside of the bottom to keep it away from pinching your knock. I will get it on here tomorow.

Here is the link to the directions to tie this loop. One other note, make sure when you start and end you squeeze that serving in those loops as tight as possible. Especially if your using cheaper serving, I have used it and it tends to stretch more than some others I have used, so you will wind up with a gap between the end of the loops serving and the bow string. Very annoying. www.racksandspurs.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=techbow&action=display&thread=1143505027Keith

I use a loop , but to cancel out the torque problem I just reverse the bottom knot, so it cancels out the top knot (both knots pull toward the string instead of pulling off to one side..
