Hey guys, I shoot on average at least once a day and lately i've been noticing that as soon as i come to full draw i want to just pull the trigger and get the shot over with instead of taking my time and feeling the shot. This isn't normal for me. I feel like i've hit a wall, Just wanted to know if anyone else has ever had this problem and what they were able to do to fix it, Thanks for any input.

Try and get in front of a large target, close your eyes and concentrate on your release.. get use to your finger on the trigger.. slowly applying preasure on the release till it goes off.. just get use to you release.. do this practice before you start aiming your bow. Just something u can try...Let me know if it works..

Agree w/ whitetail25. I would add that you draw the bow and ensure you are gonna hit the target and then close your eyes and concentrate on your release. 5 yds is all you need. Don't worry about where you hit just work on the release.
It's really a mind thing. Those are hard to fix. You just got to get comfortable. You might try concentrating more on a solid follow through than worrying about the actual shot. That sometimes helps.

Blind bale shooting is the way to cure it and it takes some time to realy get over it. I would take your sight off and just stand in front of the target and keep your eyes close and then slowly squeeze of the shot. You should do this for a couple of weeks and I mean no aiming. Then move back to ten yards and put a small target up with tiny dots and then start aiming at them slowly squeezing the shot off, then move back to 20 after a week or two. If it comes back restart and add more time to it. It is in you head, just got to get the muscles back to working subconciously while your thought process is on nothing but aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim till the shot gooes off. Not sure what release you use but if its a handheld swithcing to a back tension release will really help you get through this. If you apprehensive there are many that come with safetys on them. Even if you use a finger type triger release that straps on you should still be using back tension to fire the release. Pulling the trigger on either release leads to punching.
