need to cross the border? I'm planning to cross the windser boarder in the next few weeks. is it worth bringing your own fire arms??? what is required if one does. thanks in advance, dogman

Hey Dogman, Here's where you need to look for regulations: Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/pubs/pubmenu.html#huntingPost 911, they may want your left testicle for a deposit at the border... if you decide to go, I had a guy tell me that there's some outstanding waterfowl hunting on an Indian Res. right near Windsor.

thanks guy. that is exactly what my budy told me today. i realy like using my own guns but them guys are all recomending to leave them at home. i'll try to check for info on the web site. goose and jack rabits are realy strong from what they said. i'm hoping to do both. thanks again. j

I know your guns have to be registered with Canada to cross with them.I would check the web site and see if you can print an application and send it in ahead of time.But i bet they wouldn't get it done in a few weeks either.You may have to leave your guns at home this time around

Things may have changed recently, as you will need a passport to get in, but I don't know when that takes into effect. Friends of mine that go hunting and to buy a permit or something like that at the border. KInd of like checking it in at the airport. If I were you I would try to call border patrol or whatever it would be called and get the correct info as it seems to chanage daily.
