Never duck hunted before in my life till this morning. Over the past couple of years where I have had my deer stand sat up next to the river I have noticed several ducks swimming and flying up and down the river. Not until last year did I even find out or want to find out what they were. And come to find out they are woodies. Our early season opened this morning so I went ( alot of money for a stamp and shells Ill only shot a couple days) Was really foggy and they didnt seem to be moving thru like usual Dont know why maybe the foggy, But I did manage to kill 1 DRAKE. DAMN THEM THINGS FLY FAST. I know where the pond is that they fly to every night right before dark. Patrick and myself WILL be setting there tonight waiting on them. He duck hunts some but not sure I could really get into it . Would take away from my deer hunting

Way to go...Those woodies are a blast to shoot...You may find that it's a little addicting... I used to say the same thing about goose hunting...Man it's going to screw up my deer hunting...but somehow in the last couple of years I've managed to squeeze them both in...
