Those are some nice looking hounds. Never been coon hunting, but may like to sometime. I raise beagles and do alot of rabbit hunting with them.

Do you hunt coon with them? What is it about that line that you like the best?

In the early 2000's they were talking about the House dogs alot. But now they have moved on to the newest fad, Rat attack dogs. I'm a B+T person and never paid much attention as to how the house dogs hunted. But we have a walker pup now so i'm trying to study the Walker bred more.

I don't think having big name breeding makes that big of a difference, bottomline is that you gotta get the pups in the woods and you got to have coon, If you take a dog out 4 or 5 nights a week you got a good chance to have a coon dog, it just takes work

We hunt hard pretty much all yr round. Til Aug. we were in the woods 4 nights a week. This fall will push a little harder and in the winter we might hunt a few weeks before we take a night off. Then we usally take feb. off and get back to 4 or 5 nights a week in the spring. This fall I have a 1 1/2 yr old to really work hard and the walker pup to start. While hunting my 1 and 1/2 yr old male hard in the hunts to title him. And I have a 3 yr old I need to get in the hunts too. She's my pup trainer.

I like late fall the best when the crops are coming off. Coon are every where and you sure can make alot of tree's in a few drops. Plus the dogs can go forever cause it's cool out. And you have to love the smell of fall!
