I have a pup 1 1/2 yrs old. Just training her this year for seems her heat coinsides with opening of duck season here so she missed last year. She has picked up commands well and brings back the bird when shot. But her trouble is we can't get past she has no incentive to go back for a second bird or go "hunting" so to speak to flush. She's a clinger and sits looking at you like "what to do next" look on her face. Any one help me out here. What can we do to teach her its ok to hunt and flush. Or go back after the second bird when told, instead of having to walk her over to it.

I had a similar problem with a yellow lab when he was younger but he grew out of it & I think good treats helped a lot. I was having trouble with a few different commands & a friend told me to start using a bag of good treats like chunks of roast, steak, burger or even hot dogs to reward the dog with when he did things right. He all of the sudden got a lot more interested in all the aspects of hunting & retrieving because he knew what I had in my pocket. I combined the good treats with lots of praise & petting and eventually wiened him off of expecting meat all the time but it really helped. It was funny to, because he'd start hunting/looking around the house & garage for the retrieve dummies to go play fetch & get treats...LOL!!!
