Been super busy the last week or so, trying to get my house painted. The painting is easy. All the fixing is driving my nuts. This guy wandered into the backyard this morning. He made my day. Still waiting to see Bigfoot. Hope you all are well.

Now that is cool! Terry, if I were there with my tools we could whip that house into shape fast then goof off shooting your big animals with our Canons.

Seriously if we do another road trip my thoughts sure lean toward Utah and Idaho as the far points with the Tetons,Montana and of course N Dakota on the way back. Just a few days ago Penny said she would sure like to go to Medora again, I agreed, been one of my favorite places thanks to you Terry. Never regretted taking your advice, been there twice and still think about it often. I bet it is beautiful where you live now, can't imagine you settling in a so so place after leaving the Dakotas. It must be quite a thrill to look out and see a Moose in ones yard, envy strikes me again!

Thanks Steve. This is a nice area to live in, though the steep terrain is something that is not getting any easier to walk in. I think your road trip will take you through some very great scenic country. Its to bad that the Medora Musical doesn't run further into September, as the mountain west is so much nicer to see and travel in after Labor Day. Great that Penny likes Medora. It is a very nice place to go to for sure. Sure wish that country hadn't changed so much so fast. I do miss it a lot. If you do decide to make that trip, let me know if you decide to come out Idaho way. Maybe we could make a plan to hook up somewhere, depending on the area you will be traveling. Lots of rain going on here right now, so not getting much done on the house. It sure is green out though. Did you guys green up yet?

So Terry is it nicer after Labor Day because less people or color/weather? We are starting to like the fall traveling better, after school starts, helps in many ways. We have some major catching up to do work wise before we can even consider going anywhere but I would definitely contact you if I were in Idaho. We may go to Maine and Quebec first but that is still just in the maybe stages. This spring has been quite different, some trees still have not fully leafed out but grass has grown well. Cattle are turned out to pasture, most crops are planted but we had 32 degree temps last weekend. The frost was heavy and sure slowed crop seed from germinating, hoping for the best, some may need replanting.
Was also wanting to ask if those Moose see fences good or do they just walk through them? The deer can be rough on ours sometimes but those big guys could make gates anywhere looks like.

Hello Steve. For travel out to the mountain West areas these are some things that I would consider. The later in the summer it gets, the hotter it get also. Besides the heat, the bugs become a real nuisance. Also quite a few more people out and about. Another aspect is smoke from forest fires. Clear days can be a premium towards the end of the summer. Once fall finally arrives, the numbers of people around does decrease considerable. It gets cooler, and the bugs subside and hopefully some rain will show up to settle the smoke. All in all, the fall is the best. And the moose. Those buggers just go through a fence any wheres they want. To add to that, they never come out the same place they went in. Really green here right now. Been putting some long hours in working on the house. Taking tomorrow off to get in one last day of turkey hunting.
