We probably would of got into more if we fished further up. But walked quite a bit today. Hooked several and lost several. Had a real nice one break the line. And managed to bank this dude. Just wasn't on my A game I guess? Then I was in a white knuckle line peeling battle with a giant!! A sucker that fought like a marlin. I still am the sucker king in these parts. Suckers beware! I will never be dethroned!! Lol!!

Oh incidently I did see quite a few fish swimming all willy nilly through out the creek. And as we were fishing one of the dams didn't hook one fish in the hole below it. But watched fish jump the dam in front of us repeatedly. Flipping us the fin as they leaped four to 6 feet in the air. Some even looked like they were smiling as they flew past at eye level. Looked like jumping Asian carp.

Now that's some nice fish and a great fishing hole for sure. Also some pretty good pics. So I gotta ask, who was taking them. That rod looked pretty good with that big bend in it, even if it was a sucker.

My buddy Chris was with me. And we were getting goofy with the suckers. The suckers usually come up to spawn during the trout run. They come up so thick and once they hit this dam they can't follow the trout. Unless the water is high.so they bunch up in the hole so thick you drift and hit em every time. So we had a tournament. Lol!!

These natural spawners got some shoulders on em. Good fighters on the end of the line. My grandfather fished this creek back in the late 40's , 50's and 60's. My dad fished it since the 50's. Back in those days the rainbows were much bigger on average. People use to come here from all over the country. Traditional stream for me.

Good photos and nice fish, really like the trout. Don't have anything like that in my neck of the woods, never fished for trout, no streams with fish in them here, I really enjoyed these photos, very good, thanks for sharing them.

Thanks Steve it truly is a shame you don't have streams to enjoy this kind of fishing. Good times for sure. I will trade ya some trout. OK a few thousand if you can send some of those big whitetails and butterball birds?? Lol!
