Thanks Hillbilly, never thought I'd have a dog like this one, always had hounds and bird dogs but she is the best watch dog, loves riding in the truck or ATV and in general wants to be with us all the time. Good to see you on the forum, been a long time since we've heard from you.

Well one did make a mistake Scott, been a very long day, will have some more pics and story later. For now this is Blakes first turkey, 15 lbs. Wow Steve, first turkey feathers of the season. That is great and good for Blake. Can't wait for the story. This is a really cool pic. I really like it. Yes, great to hear from old Hillbilly. On a side note, looks like a little more camera stuff on the way, thanks to your setup post. A good start to the season. Hope we see a lot more of these successes here.

I got in some practice today, found a lot of turkey but no good pics, I can't get close enough. Did get 50 or so good shots of song birds, have to edit them yet. Some practice was in the yard before I left to hunt for turkey, Practice shooting my dog in the yard and myself at the same time, Well Steve, thanks to your post, I now have a similar setup as yours. All seems to work well, and I really like the wireless. Thanks for taking the time to post your setup.

Good to hear you have some new stuff Terry. The wireless should come in handy for several things, those family reunions and now you can get some of yourself with your dog and birds or maybe a nice deer.
Scott, hope you do get a nice camera some day, you most certainly have some great country to take pics of and the activities you are involved in are very interesting. I have come to enjoy shooting my camera about as much as bow hunting, having things documented with photos is sure nice to look back on. I've caught myself looking at the Grandsons baseball pics taken over the years, vacations we have went on and the occasional successful hunt with buddies of mine, it reminds me of how time goes by so quick, kids grow up fast and then we grow old fast.

Yes they do grow up fast!! And to be able to reflect visually or mentally is living the adventure of life. My nephew just left for the navy. Seems like last year he was a little dude. My daughter is going off to college in Tennessee . Just yesterday she was four years old standing on the truck seat. Calling on a slate to turkeys in a field for the first time. Life is so much more enjoyable through photographs. Whether its songbirds. Or a scenic view you see in a valley or on a lake. People in the concrete jungles are cheated. They don't get to appreciate or see what a lot of us see everyday. And I don't take it for granted. I will have a good camera someday. That's my goal when I grow up. Lol!!
