So how does your permit system work? Your permits good for certain areas and then also are they different for private versus public ground? Sounds difficult!! I saw over 30 birds from my front porch this evening, 4 were strutting, problem is they were across the road off my property. If the trees leaf out there will be birds roost on my place but with late springs they normally don't cross the road. I can't hunt across the road because the owners hunt there which is fine but it can be frustrating. They often cross over onto my place later in the day but our season closes daily at 1 pm.

I hope you draw buddy. I'd go bonkers if I couldn't hunt turkeys. Supposedly NY is lowering non resident licenses? Maybe you should plan a trip next spring up here. We can go chasing longbeards. All hell broke loose here this morning.

The way it works ..The State is broke up in Zones ,, You have to PICK a Zone , Than you have to pick the week you want to Hunt that Zone ,, ( PERMIT IS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE WEEK ) Privat or Public Ground dose not matter as long as its the Zone you picked .. You can put in for as many Zones as you want at $28 and Zone .. .. At 12 noon you have to stop hunting ,,

So Larry, if you choose to apply for two zones it costs 56 dollars right and do you get a refund if not drawn? Ouch, is what I'm thinking.

Dang!! That's crazy!! So you pay 28 a zone. If your drawn is that the cost of the permits. Or do you pay for them also?
