I've seen a lot of aerial weed spraying, but this is the first time I've seen aerial application of fertilizer. This pic taken this spring along the Kootenai river valley. This outfit doesn't get very much coverage with a load though. He's constantly landing and resupplying. Now this may just be the ticket for your hard to get to food plots. Just guessing that, you may have to have a substanial checking account to go this route.

Nice photo Terry. What is the crop he is spraying? We had liquid Nitrogen sprayed on corn about 4 years because of cold wet weather, it did help, wasn't cheap, and it was a light application. They do a lot of reloading. I was fascinated watching the Pilot flying the field across the road from my house, very dangerous with trees, power lines and very little room. Now that I've had it done my advice would be to NOT let liquid nitrogen be sprayed on your pickup, bad for paint.

So Steve, did the nitrogen give your truck an expensive colored camo look? Not quite positve what they putting fertilizer on. To the east of this area was winter wheat fields, but I wouldn't think they would be fertilizing them. What it did look like was, they were putting fertilizer on a very large pasture and hayland area. Would that make sense in the early spring?

Kt29, the nitrogen gave the effect of spray painting a car in light rain or very small drops of oil on water. Got most of it off but my clear coat was ruined best I can tell and it's downhill from there. Yes, fertilizing grass makes a lot of sense but I wouldn't want to guess what they were putting on. It has all got too expensive for me, can't imagine what that is costing to fly it on. This year a lot of neighbors were spending $45.00 an acre for dry fertilizer they applied themselves and this is not considered a heavy application.

Hit the post button by accident. I ve never seen a crop duster. That's what my girlfriend calls me. For some unknown reason? But that would be cool to see that! Like you said out your way. Its common. I'd be the guy on the side of the road to watch that. Knowing me I'd look up with my mouth open. Lol!!
