So what does everyone have planned for the upcoming summer? Any trips, vacations, theme parks etc? I'm focusing the summer on losing weight, getting a good tan, working on a few side projects, getting my project boat ready for the water... or as close as I can get her there, I might take a weekend off to go somewhere out of town to do something I haven't ever done and would be a cool life experience (not sure what that is yet but I'll figure it out). Then I'm gonna focus on tryin to get a few new hunting properties, practice with the bow, get some trail cams up and put up some new stands, buy a few hunting items that I desperately need. Oh, and I'm DEFINITELY going to be doing as much FISHING I can out on the LAKE! Oh yeah, and hang by the pool with some cervesas! Cheers to this summer! May it be long, and beautiful and one to remember!

Well... our property has a small towns worth of wood laying all over. Gonna get it cleared . Trailcams, food plots, treestands ,putting in a pond. House and driveway work. Putting a foodplot off the side of upper lawn. And some fishing here and there. OK as much fishing as I can do. Oh and a buddy and I gonna try and start making turkey calls again. We haven't made any since early 90's. So we are slowly figuring out the equipment we are getting. A lathe and press and things like that. And a few concerts at tags this summer. A few big parties to attend also. And spend a lot of time getting the girlfriend in tune with the archery world. So I will keep busy. Lol!!

Work all I can, summer time is when I normally make most of my income. Kinda/sorta planning a trip to Alaska, want to end up at Denali Park, possibly further North. If it happens, will be in the early fall. I want to shoot photos, wildlife and landscapes. I'm not good at landscapes yet but you can't go wrong in Alaska. If we don't go this fall will probably save a try to go early next year. And it would be just fine with me to work all summer and be able to take off during the rut to chase big Whitetails with my bow.

One of these days I would really like to find my way up there to see all the wild beauty that is up there! I can only imagine how much of a workout your camera is going to get!

Will probably do some fishing and photography around here this summer. Do tentatively have a trip planned to Trout lake in Alberta to try and catch some kamloop rainbows. Guess I must not be on any watch lists as the State Dept. did issue me a visa.

I've been to Alaska once, we were at Sitka, Ketchikan, Juneau, Glacier bay, it was beautiful. I want to go back, get inland and much further North with my camera, see if I can get some decent pics of wildlife and landscapes. Had to laugh at what Terry said about the State Dept, I'm waiting on my Pass Port now so shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch,LOL. Sent in my passport card to exchange for Passport book so shouldn't be a problem but these days you never know. May need to be careful about talking about using my Canon to shoot things all the time and now want to fly out of this country with it, never know who may be listening these days. You guys that are fishing, be sure to take some photos, that is one thing I'm terrible at. I'm perhaps the World's worst fisherman so getting photos doesn't happen often.

No bottled water. No toothpaste. No orphan Annie decoder rings either.

LOL, Longspur I have got to start checking on what I can and can not take. I have a lot have camera gear and sure don't want it in a checked bag. We got our passports so getting closer to being ready and some of the rates have dropped in price, now if I can stay busy working might get to go this fall.

It's looking like we are going to Alaska, Sept 3rd or 4th. Still working some things out but have reservations made and if I hit the button on Monday it will be a done deal. Getting the air connections made is not looking like much fun but it has to be possible. Plans so far are to get to Fairbanks and then go North from there for awhile before heading back South toward home via Vancouver. Will be boating on the Tanana river first thing, do some Gold panning and hopefully get into some wildlife. Couple days at Denali NP, hoping for decent weather and see some Grizzlies, Mt McKinley, maybe some Moose. Any game should be good to shoot with my Canon by this time of year, fat bears, hard antlered Moose. Will be making stops in Seward, Haines, Skagway,Ketchikan, and Juneau so should get some good photos somewhere along this route.
