Duck hunting has been very slow in these parts. Just no ducks showing up yet. But we did go to the local Ducks Unlimited banquet last night. We had a great time. They do a lot of great work in our neighborhood. Just wish the ducks took more advantage of it.

Terry, where are they? I've seen 2 flocks of high flying snow geese and 6 ducks in the last 2 weeks and you know I'm out hunting a lot. I'm not hunting right next to water but I remember the day geese and ducks blackened the sky, thinking my flyway has changed and they are further West and East of me. I was reading in our Conservation mag that this year was a record hatch for about all waterfowl. They may need some more cool weather yet, not sure.
Like you said, good to attend a banquet, I sure have a good time going to those, enjoy the dinners, visiting and the auctions, never have quite enough money but they are still fun.

I talked to a buddy of mine this evening. He said a few more ducks have started showing up now. If I can find a decent buck to shoot, I will get back after waterfowl. Our deer season for rifle runs till Dec. 1. Waterfowl season runs to January 25th
