We had a light drizzling rain this morning. So I decided to go to the groundblind I hadn't hunted yet. I saw no deer which was odd. About 8 I looked out the right side window, then out the left. When I looked back to the right, there stood about a 250 lb bear. He was about 50 yds. He never made a sound. Until he winded me. GONE!!! I have watched friends and family shoot bears for years. Seems it just never comes together. I just want one for the love of Pete!!!!

Seems like you have several bear in your hunting area, you would think it would out someday, keep thinking positive. Scary thing is I want a huge buck with my bow, know we have a lot of them where I hunt but each year I let one or two slip through, we gotta change this!

In my younger years, I hunted bear with my bow. All spot and stalk. I found it pretty darn exciting. Managed to get up on a few bears. Only shot at one, which I missed twice at close range. The closer you get, the more the adrenalin kicks in . Hope ya get one. Just getting close is a memory.
