Plan to leave in 9 hours to go on a combination hunt in North and South Dakota. Going right through Kt's old stomping grounds and I'm hoping to shoot some of the animals and birds he left behind such as Buffalo, Pronghorn, Prairre Dogs, Wild Horses, Turkey and Sharptails if I can find them. I'll be armed with my Canon of course, have a long barreled lens for it so will try it out in that big open country. Will post some pics when I can, hopefully from the road once in awhile.

Thanks guys for the best wishes, I have just arrived at a Motel for my first nights stay in Jamestown ND. Tomorrow morning may get outside here and look for a couple of white buffalo that are supposed to be near where I'm staying, then on to Fort Lincoln so should start taking pics soon. Afternoon plan to stop in Belfield than on to TR Nat Park for Sunday shooting whatever we can find.

Going to look for her right now. Making good time even with a LOT of road construction and some shopping at Cabelas in La Vista Nebraska.

I'm having a terrible time with my computer while on the road, but it is mostly my fault, don't know how to operate it. Any way hopefully here are a couple of Bison at T Roosevelt Park and the other one I'll let Terry explain . Have taken many more but it is time consuming to get all the processing done so there will be more eventually in the photo section.

Had to add a couple more for Terry to explain, he knows more about them than I do as I couldn't find the owner of the place . I will say that if Kt gives you advice on a place you should visit, take the advice, he knows how to choose a nice " atmosphere".

Some nice buffalo pics Steve. Like the one that is dusting along with the calf. The mounts belong to my friend Harold, that owns the Trapper's Kettle in Belfield, ND. Besides some good eats, this place is just fun to visit. Most all the animals in the restaurant are all bow kills by Harold and his two boys. Lots of the animals are from ND, but Harold does hunt most anywheres he wants to. His youngest son has done the taxidermy work the last few years. Glad ya got to visit this place Steve. I'm sure it was worth the price of the lunch. Will look forward to more pics.

Thanks Terry for telling more about the Trappers Kettle that I took some pics of. We did not get to meet Harold or his boys although I inquired about them. We were East of Dickinson, trying to make Medora and was having some problems with Motels and connections. We got a room at the Trappers Inn, made the Pitch Fork Fondue, the show than back to Belfield. Had a large and delicious breakfast and headed out of town South for Custer. We have spent the day here shooting all kinds of wildlife, have some good deer, turkey, and Pronghorn shots. Hunted for Bison all morning and they had came to town and were eating grass where folks had irrigated their lawns. That is is another story, let me just say they don't always tolerate people well. Tomorrow, headed to Wind Cave, Pringle area and onto to the Badlands. From there I have no idea but we are seeing an abundance of game to shoot. The processing of pics may end up being a winter project.

Larrry , the trophy room was easy to get into, it is in the lobby of the Trapper's Kettle. Since they have the middle of the room filled with things to sell it was hard to get a good photo of all the mounts. The place was decorated to the taste of guys like us, I hated to leave and the food was awesome. Should have taken more pics, the salad bar was in a canoe and the buffet in a boat. Steel traps by the thousands, many were antiques decorated the walls along with the mounts. The mounts were very good quality too, a lot of antlers in this place.
