Two months and it will be the start of another archery season. Now is when I look back at things I picked up on last season. Everything from changed deer patterns. Or different patterns .Too the gut wrenching miss . The miss of all misses!! My buddy who watched it happen. Well he had to bring it up yesterday of course. He said,"watching that bruiser run after that doe unscathed, was all I remember. "And seeing the look on your face, priceless!" Well I hope this year maybe the stars will align? I can't wait for those unmistakeable smells of fall. Despite the tangled mess I will be hunting. I'm looking forward to finding a standing tree? Lol! And climbing to my lofty perch.

Most hunting is always a challenge. Seeking revenge, well that makes it more fun yet. Good luck Scott. I'm sure you are really psyched.

Six weeks to go here and we will be turned loose with stick and string. It looks like it will be more of a challenge than normal, we have a bad drought going on here. Farmers are chopping corn for silage, not many acorns in my woods, beans are not filling pods and we have over grazed everything with livestock. No water in the creeks, no food plots and no hope as of now in being able to plant any. It could change but so far looks like deer hunting will be very different than I'm used to.

Yeah I was just watching a program . They were interviewing farmers from the south and Midwest. Just terrible!! The interviewer said to one farmer are you able to irrigate , he said from where?? Lol !!! I thought that reporter did their homework.
