Bro i never ate one myself but there is a recipe for them they love live minnows they are found in lakes. And they can give you a nice fight. 3 lbs pickerel 3 tablespoons butter salt and pepper, to taste 1/2 lemon, juice of 1/4 cup water Directions: 1Preheat oven to 450°F.2Wash and clean fish.3Place in baking dish and dot with butter; season with salt and pepper.4Add lemon juice and water; bake about 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Nice size picks!! Basically the same taste as pike. And ya have to cut the Y bones out. I use to eat about anything I caught. Now there are only a few I will keep to eat. Crappies, walleyes, and catfish/bullheads. Other than that I don't keep fish anymore. I don't know why I love a fish fry. Just quit keeping em a long time ago. Anyway pickerel are fun to catch. Just tear the crap out of soft baits. And well about anything they attack. Lol!!
