Well,I took the crossbow hunting last saturday and monday. I didn't see an animal while hunting in my tree stand. Maybe its early, but I didn't find any signs either. I'll try again this weekend again.

If ya got any oak ridges in your spot. The nuts are bringin in the deer. most of the guys I've talked to from Pa are seeing more deer in the hardwoods right now. Good luck this weekend. Hope to see ya get one. |

I hunted again saturday with no luck. I moved my stand sunday, for monday's hunt and all I seen was a coyote, which I shot at with the crossbow but didn't get it. I haven't found any food source, other than corn. I talked to a dairy farmer and he's saying there's no food in the woods also.

Good luck buddy! Our season opens saturday,finally!  Some good scrapes and rubs are in big numbers around here for this early in the season. But I have no problem lookin at it! ;D ;D ;D!! I'm gonna try and start off on the doe's. Got some good ambush sites. But the bucks run on their own schedule. ;D Weather looks cooler for the weekend (weather channel) . Should be movin good if that is the case.. Hope ya let the air out of one bro. |

i've been out in the woods of Pa since Sept, early doe season...and i've had one shot at a nice big 8, but some how the scope got bumped...anyways its been pretty good and have seen some nice bucks and not alot of does..but hunting with the crossbow has been alot of fun..so much fun that i'm giving up my slug gun this year to hunt with the xbow...so goodluck and be safe...Thunderbolt
