For deerhunting whether gun or bow, most of us,use something at some point to mask our scent somewhat. But more so during archery. Years ago before the big bang theory. I used vanilla extract on my camo. Not really sure if it really did work. But some of the ol timers claimed it was the ticket. Now a days, beside scentlok or scentblocker clothing. I use earth scent only. And keep my clothes stored in totes when not hunting. No matter what we do if we are breathing,we give off scent. And obviously still obey the wind. But what do some of you do to maybe give ya a few more seconds, on a deer that caught a whiff, but isn't sure. Do you have rituals you go through?

Try to keep clothes clean and also use earth scent in a bag with clothes. Pay more attention to the wind than anything. Always get busy with hunting , farming , cleaning game, entertaining friends and my scent control falls by the wayside. I'm probably the worst deer hunter on here as far as scent control goes, so don't do as I do. When I get a deer, pure luck as a lot to do with it!! ;D

Anyone SMOKE their clothes? I have been hearing alot of folks talking about it. I just try to use scent free soaps on my clothes and myself. I keep my clothes in the garage in the large ziploc bags and in totes. I have tried the Primos Silver Scent Eliminator and it works well. I wore a coat to a bar/restaurant and it smelled like french fries and cigar smoke when I got home. I sprayed it with the Primos Silver and the next morning it had no smell. I also wear Bass Pro Shops Endura-skin. It is the silver thread base layer. It never gets stinky. The silver kills the odor causing bacteria. I don't recommend products unless I have used them alot with noticeable results because I have tubs full of crap that didn't work. Both of these have really impressed me. I also wear rubber boots and I don't put them on till I get to the woods.
Oh, and I spray scent killer on my truck seats the night before I go hunting. I noticed that my seats smelled like cologne/perfume after my wife and I had been driving the truck to work.

I hardly if ever wear my clothes in the truck. I see at as any way I can increase the chance of gettin away with foolin their noses. I'm gonna do it for sure.
