I am new to this forum. I am hoping to find a place to hunt bear this Nov. in PA. I am seeking information regrading an outfitter (etc.) for an unguided or semi-guided hunt. Thanks.

Welcome to R&S good to have ya at camp. As far as guides I'm not sure. But you might be able to find some at your finger tips. I hunt northern Pa just across the border from where I live in N.y. Mostly deer and turkey. Been on two bear hunts.I'm not sure where your located. But if I were looking to bear hunt and up my odds.I would honestly recommend public ground. When we went ,we drove mostly. Both hunts someone in our group got a bear. The thing about public ground hunting is there are more people keepin em moving in circles. Unless you can get private land access. And you have permission to hunt with a group of your buddies. Thats the way I would go if I were goin alone. We also pushed bears to other hunters on a couple drives. And unless ya got some snow they can be tough to pick up tracks or to see in the dark timber. The cinnamon we got,3 of us almost walked right by it. A buddy looked over and there it was just watchin us walk by. Good luck and again welcome to the club.
