Just my luck. Going to miss turkey season and all of spring bass fishing this year. I was moving some beer kegs before Xmas and messed my right shoulder up. Got the MRI back last week and all the ligaments are torn and will have to have surgery to repair them. I have been told it will take up to six months for rehab, not sure. But, if this is true, I am not very happy right at the moment. So I will not be entering the turkey contest again this year.
I need to correct myself. I will not be able to shoulder a gun but I am going to get in the woods and call for my buddies. I am bound and determined to do this much. As for the fishing, thats out unless I can figure a way to get out there. You know what they say, "A stubborn head makes for a sore butt". My wife keeps telling me I am a stubborn SOB .
On top of all this, I took the ATV out to my brother in-laws last Friday during a big snow storm. We figured we would have a little fun pulling each other and the kids on a sled behind the ATV. All good. Right? That all changed when my brother and I decided it would be our turn to have all the fun. I tried to do some doughnuts on the ATV. Can you see where this is going? Anyway, I was spinning around and having a great deal of fun when all of a sudden the front wheel caught and flipped the ATV over on me. The ATV cam down on my right knee. It hurt like hell but I continued to play around once we got the ATV up right. Later that night I woke up and my knee looked like a grapefruit and figured I better go to the clinic in the morning. Well, got to the clinic and they did the normal bit and found that there was a hair line fracture of the right knee. To say the least my wife is now a little miffed at me right at the moment. She told me I am nuts and that my elevator does not go all the way to the top. I told her I am not crazy, "I am just living." She laughed and called me an idiot.
