We here all this talk about anti-gun this and anti-gun that from our liberal politicians. Right? I figured I would try and find a forum that just dealt with or had members that believed guns were bad and needed to be done away with. Guess what, I found not one or two, but a whopping ZERO! Not one forum that was made up of members that were strictly anti-gun. Although I did find a few that liberal hippie sights that had a few topics that touched on anti-guns, but they were very uneducated in their discussion. Kind of makes a person think about where all this anti-gun policies are stemming from. Are all these policies stemming from a intellectual shift in the Liberal American populous? Or, is this an attempt of our government to seize guns from the vast American population that really do believe in the 2nd Amendment.
Just something that raised my eyebrow.

Great Post Ghost. I do believe our Liberal politicians are attempting to confiscate our guns. .Just another way for them to have more control. They will take all our guns away, then the only ones that will have them will be the criminals. They think we will be much safer. Washington DC has the toughest gun control in the country Look how safe that city is now.

Good post for sure. It does make one wonder where all the anti-gun stuff comes from.

I'm a firm believer that it is our Government that is pushing for GUN CONTROL much more than the private citizen, oh sure there are a few folks that have much different opinions then ours but I feel they are a small minority. Problem is, with constant campaigns from Government Politicians many people begin believing them when actually they know nothing about the subject.
I live in a small midwestern town of 18000, two universities bring the population to around 26000 most of the year. Everyday life here is much different then in the cities but even the non-hunting public accepts the fact that gun ownership is a way of life not to be MESSED with. On occasion a student may try to voice their opinion in the news paper, the Campus News Paper or similiar outlet but they soon realize it is time wasted. Waste of time because of money and the local heritage.
When the second week of Nov rolls around each year I will dare anyone to try to get a Motel room within 100 miles of my hometown, they have already been booked from last year - by deer hunters. This year our local Wal-Mart served refreshments at the sporting goods counter for 2 or 3 days because they were so many in lines to buy: deer tags and all the " STUFF" that deer hunters buy. There were lines at all the restarurants until late evening, gas stations had lines out onto the highway, "Welcome Hunters" banners were (are) hanging across the main roads leading into town. It's like this, folks with "Common Sense" know there is no problem with gun ownership in this area and it puts MONEY in their pocket, LOTS of money. The town is safe, crime is extremely low and just about everyone owns not one but several guns. Crime is low because criminals know the odds are bad when kicking in doors in this communitity. Ghost you should also do some research in these areas: What Countries have the citizens lost all their rights before arms/weapons were prohibited? Poll some criminals as to where they would rather work , in a large city or rural community? Do criminals want guns banned or do they like the 2nd amendment as it stands now?

I can and will do the research. The data that you are talking about is out there. I have read several from Austrailia. Give me a little time to put it all together and I will post it. Like I said, I have read several papers about this. But what is even more frightening, is to read articles or testimonies from citizens of countries where they have had their guns banned.
Give me some time on this one, I want it to flow right and make sense when read.
