looking at buying a new bow for me and the wife. Looking at Mathews and Hoyts. Have heard some roomers about string and cables coming off the cam or wheels on the Mathews. Have any of you have this problem?

I have personally never heard of that. Both are great bows. One thing that can cause the string to jump the cam is if the owner loads the cam. It the set up is pure factory with no mod. it should not have any problems.

Mathews and Hoyt are Both top of the line. There is no problem of strings jumping off the cams or idlers. I visit Archery talk often and any issues are well discussed, especially all the Mathews haters.
I love my DXT from MAthews. The Hoyt AM 32 is a great hunting bow also. I like the single cam bows better. Smoother draw and just as fast.

Hey bud I meant to talk to you about that the other day. I looked into it farther and those rumors were false. It was a bunch of hogwash started by some dimwit, disgruntled former mathews dealer! Both bows are at the top of the industry. I was gonna forward the e-mail I got from a top notch mathews dealer to you. He told me in all honesty there are several bows on the market that are worth a look. But of course recommends his bow of choice! .

I have a friend that shoots a Hoyt and I shoot a Mathews. We pick on each other all the time about the others bow. The truth of the matter is they are both great bow and you cant go wrong with either one
