Went out yesterday. What a glorious day. Temp in the low 50's. Sunny, bluebird skies, not a cloud to be seen. Only a hint of a wind. Woods were calm and peaceful. I hunt forty yards of a river, and it was relaxing to hear the small rapids. Now, if only I would have seen some deer. But, it's days like these that make me thank God that I'm a hunter.

I will agree it was peaceful, almost too quiet, the wind was squirrelly, and a doe busted me at 530, still enjoyed lisening to the sounds, most of them any way, don't care much for the snort of a doe, raining right now, i suspect it will be heading your way real soon kahuna
I'm going this afternoon and try a mid day hunt, the game tables say today is the day. I don't rely on them much, but i'll give 'em a try, better than sitting at home the place is as clean as its going to get and since i'm in an apt, i don't have any honey do list, rough life somebody has to do it, i might as well as enjoy it while i can for i don't think this will last the whole season , eventually i'll find a job

Kahuna I got to agree here !! How can it get better!! Being in the woods close to God and what we all love to do.. I may get passionate about some things but being outdoors is what we love. Tim

I certainly agree, Brother Tim. For me, it is my escape, and a chance to recharge my batteries (aka hot temper), so I can try to be more tolerant to people and situations that arise at work, and in everyday life. Geez, I just can't imagine hunting in 90 degree weather....and with snakes!
