Went to the stand way before day light, didn't see a thing,, went back to the truck ,picked up the bait & carried it in ,went back fer the 2nd bag & on the corn pile I just dumped was a nice doe  ( THATS MY LUCK) was going to go to jersey hunter's stand fer the evening ,but went back to mine, seen deer from the time I got in till I got out at dark,,,, wind blowing real hard & the deer were real jumpy,,, 16 deer & only 1 small buck, I had a blast watching them ,,,, now I know where to put my Lock On,  |

Man I am glad you saw something!!I didnt even hunt tonight it was just hot and I needed some family time. Sometimes it just works that way... Glad you had fun.. now maybe you can lock on and get you one. Tim

Today was the most active day I have seen since season opened Oct. 1. Saw several deer, had a hog come up under me 30 minutes before daylight(he growled at me so knew what it was), had a bobcat lay down 10 yards from me(missed it after it gave me a very poor shot at 27 yards), and saw 2 yotes. Took one yote at 12:15 and saw the other at 6. Almost forgot, had the pleasure of stepping on a copperhead on the way out of the woods.   |

Rjet, I am glad you got a few shots off!!I am planning a new strategy. I didnt get out at all yesterday. Worked in the morn came home treid to nap but Lauren wouldnt cooperate. This getting up at 2:am during the week is killing me. I am having a hard time staying awake in the stand in the hot afternoons.Havent been to church in 3 weeks because I have worked every Sunday.Which is double time so I cant complain. But I think I am gonna take a stool ,get in some cedars and wait for them where they are crossing the road. Just dont want to get run over by hogs. they seem to be moving late ,so I may head out about 1 this afternoon and see if I can catch them on the 4 hour feeding. Tim
