Took a doe Saturday night at our lease in Mills County Texas. We are on a special TPWD program - Managed Land Deer Permit (MLDP). We are allowed to hunt with any legal weapon from October 1 till February 28 and with an unilimited amount of deer to be taken, but the focus is upon reducing the doe population.
So I had planned on taking multiple does Saturday, but the first sign of daylight.... I see about two dozen sheep wondering around my feeder!
I get the fattest one in my sights... and then that ole verse kicked in... LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION! So I let it go... but those sumbitches sure do like CORN!
