This coming Saturday Oct 1 is the muzzleloader season opener in South Carolina. This is a picture from my stand.I am sitting in a Pin Oak grove of trees. The stand is over looking a food plot. This area is right next to the river.deer funnel through this area all the time.Plus there are turkey there too to keep me on my feet while I am deer hunting. Here is a picture I took on September 15 2005.I saw four does and 25 turkeys that day.No shot yet!

This is on the Broad River. It is up river of the right side just above Lockhart,S.C.The land is on the York/Chester County Border.Plan on being in the stand well before first light.I am packing my lunch with plenty of water and snacks.I hope the day will end in a cloud of smoke from my black powder Remington MLS muzzlerloader. If it is a big ole doe that will be fine with me.If it is to be a buck it will have to be a bign'.The club I am in is trophy management. The bucks must be 8 point and out to the ears before it meets the requirement for a legal buck on this club.who knows maybe I will get a bign' for the team.If not I will have a great time hunting in the great outdoors.I know I will see loads of turkeys too and if I am lucky a good deer.So wish me luck. Thanks Mike

Good luck!
I wish Wi had a better muzzel loader season, its right after the nine day gun season and the woods are pretty quite, meaning the deer have just been chased around my nearly half the population of WI for nine days and the deer are a little spooky
hope it all comes together for you.
