This call has a slightly higher pitch tone than my slate over glass call does. Has great volume and tone quality. It will preform well in wet conditions with a carbon striker. I did find out the other night that this call sounds really good with my favorite rosewood striker by H S Strut. I am going to talk to the guys from H S Strut this week at the NWTF Convention about ordering some of these strikers from them to go with these calls if they are requested.
Thanks for your questions and comments about my calls Jim, Wyo_Hunting Guide

I've played with the aluminum pots before and I think they sound pretty good.... Is it that they can be more raspy or loud?

I like them for windy days for the volume and high pitch they put out. I will be in Indiana the last week of april for turkey season.
