i have one just like it. i live about 2 1/2hrs from eldon. i drove up there to find the maker. he was killed in a train wreck in 1972 near rock island (if memory serves correctly). he hadnt made very many. i have mine stashed away in my collection. it is a wonderful call that i bought for $5 at a yard sale. the people there couldnt make it work correctly. they were astonished at how well the call could sing after i sanded the chalk off the slate.
