Conversation with a Custom caller maker.

I had a long talk with a custom caller maker last night.This is Alan Sentell.We talked for over an hour and a half last night.We talked about everthing.He told me all about his calls and some of the basics in making his callers.Alan really loves to make turkey calls.He is also a great turkey hunter.He knows alot of folks in the custom call making industry.He also knows some of the Professional turkey callers too.His favorite caller to make are the round pot style callers and the Trumpet style callers.He also make box callers.One thing I like about Alan is that he was real down to earth person.Just a real nice fellow.Near the end of our talk Alan played some of his callers.He play a Red Cedar round pot caller.It was a two-sider with crystal and slate calling surfaces.He played it with a Bocote striker.It sounded great.He played a trumpet style caller that sounded just like a real turkey.He also kee kee'd on the trumpet caller too.He also played a box caller for me too.It had one of the best sounds I have heard in a box call.The name of Alan's custom call company is Newmoon Game Calls.I think if you get one of Alan's callers you would be real happy with the sounds from his callers.They are pure turkey.Thanks for the talk Alan.ncturkey
