I guess you couldn't really call it a bad day, considering I was out of school after my first year of college and I was in Northeast Ontario at North Spirit Lake Lodge. It is frigid outside and I am sitting in a boat after 3 days of decent fishing and it is a short time before shore lunch, where I am about to show up with nothing, looking for handouts. When all of the sudden I feel my pole jerk to my left. I pull in the tree stump like fish to the boat where I can barely see the color of the fish in the sun, and it dives, same thing, it dives again. Finally I pull the culprit to the surface and it was a large walleye. I get it on the scale and it is a 6 pounder. Threw it on the stringer, pulled the stringer in, Joe and I head to shore lunch and in 5-10 minutes I go from being the chump, to be the King of the Kamp.
Thanks for reading. Dan(theTCUman)
