anyone hunting with a handgun this season ?

i'm going to try this years deer with a encore pistol in

Yep, the son and I spent 2 hours sighting (playing with) in the hand cannons yesterday... The wife even let me out of putting up Christmas lights outside to play...
His .500 and my .44 mag. is was a little cold out but really got us cranked up.. 2 weeks till season opens on guns for us..

I got a doe with my TC Encore .308 so far this year, plus a hog earlier this summer. I'm hoping to get a good buck with it this year.

The neat thing about the Encore is you can have several different barrels, forearms and stocks all for one frame. You can shoot a pistol, rifle, shotgun and muzzle loader all within a few minutes off of the same frame. It's the neatest set up I've ever used, besides the smaller contender and G2 frames.

This will be my 7 th or 8th year I think.I have contenders and rugers.I am using the 375 jdj,357 herrett and 44 mag this year.

While Sloppy hasn't been a saint in 2005, I remain hopeful that Santa Claus will bless me with a Smith & Wesson 686 Limited Performance Center .44 Magnum revolver with the variable lug weight system. Expensive little sucker though. - Sloppy

I hope ya get one Sloppy! I used to have a Smith and Wesson 686 .357. It was a great wheel gun. I loved it. I never had a Smith 44 but always wanted one. The only .44 mags I've owned were the Rugers, a 5 1/2" Super Blackhawk and a 10 1/2" Super Blackhawk. I have traded both of them off and now I wish I still had them. They were great guns as well. I love trading so much that I usually don't have guns more than a few years. The TC is one that I've kept now for quite a while, almost 8yrs. I love shooting it. Plus, I'm now getting into buying new barrels and the forearms/stocks.....etc.
