Had the Yildiz out twice. The first it was flawless, about 50 rounds. The Second time, well, it will not fire the second shot. Changed the selector, still will not fire the second shot.
Called Academy in OKC and talked to a man named John. I asked him what can be done, He stated that it is my responsibility to handle the repairs, they will not help. He claims that their FFL is an jeopardy for doing this. BULL____! Called an Academy in Katy TX, talked to a manager named Barney, he stated that its their responsibility to work as a liaison between the consumer and the manufacturer. I told him about my conversation with the man in OKC. He directed me to call Customer Service and they would deal with the store in the OKC area. It is normal for me to have to pay shipping, an thats okay. But for a retail business to tell me that I am on my own with a product that they sold me not more than two weeks ago, come on. OKC told me that it is easier for me to send it back that it is for Academy, I agree, less paper work. But, if the retailer is involved with the manufacturer, on the behalf of the customer, it carries more influence, and the manufacturer is more likely to do the right thing. Since Academy is the only store carrying this manufacturer in the USA, Yidiz will be more likely to want to keep what little business, in the U.S. that they do have.
Will update later...

Ship to Briley...
Talked to Briley and they stated that it needs to be shipped to them, attention warranty work. I asked the rep from Briley if there were a lot of problems with this gun. They stated yes, there a many problems in the trigger mech. and the firing pins. They also stated that with so many problems, that either Briley will have to design and manufacture aftermarket replacement parts for the Yildiz, or Academy will have to outsource the work to do it themselves. I asked them if the guns that had been repaired for manufacturer defects, where they coming back in for further repairs? Their response was, No.
It seems, after a day on the phone and playing E-Mail tag, that Briley has been contracted by Academy to do the repairs and warranty work for a manufacturer that has no local recourse. seems interesting.
Will update.....

Hey Ghost, no that feeling. About 10 years ago or so, I bought a new Stoeger O/U. Worked fine shooting trap. First day of duck season, it wouldn't fire the second trigger. Called Stoeger, and they said send it back at my expense. I did and they promptly send me a new gun back. Have to say even though It was a hassle to go through, they were very good about their warranty. Never did find out what was wrong with the trigger or firing pin though. The new gun has worked flawlessly. Hope ya get yours squared away without to many hassles.-KT

As I said in a previous post these cheap Turkish and Spanish guns are nice looking and may shoot good, but that is it... Sooner or later, unfortunately for you George it was sooner the parts break, this is where the cheaper imports run into problems... No parts in the USA. The gun either has to ship back to turkey or Spain and that is only if that manufacturer is still in business. If they are not you need to find a gunsmith to make new parts for the gun whcih is a real expensive job.... Sometimes it is better to save a few extra bucks and get a quality gun from a top brand name like browning or Beretta.... Good luck ghost, I hope it works out.
