Anybody know any good loads for the .308 styer scout. A friend from sweden bought one to hunt with. Ive never owned a .308 so im not that familiar with what tends to be more accurate. Im open to factory loads or re-loading info. He re-loads also.

I have a 308 win and a good friend that is a sniper on the tactical force.And he gives me Federal 168 gr Matchgrade HP that they use in their rifles.I use them hunting to.Good working round.Others like the 165 gr, Nosler makes a real good acurrate bullet too.

Out of my .308 I've yet to find anything that will out do a 180 gr Remington Core-Lokts on whitetails...One shot kills every time and no tracking...I've tried several other bullets that were more accurate but the deer always ran off and I had a tracking job to find them...It took 4 180 gr Federal Premiums to put a buck down a few years ago where a Remington would have dropped him in his tracks...
